Game has a long standing heritage in the North East of England, and the importance of this tradition and all of the people involved is vitally important for food, nature and the environment.

Sustainability within the food industry is very important topic. As veganism becomes more popular in society, there is lack of focus on the mandatory need to control the deer population. On private land Ricky McMorn is hired to control the population due to the increasing number of car accidents that occur in the area. The partnership of Ricky along with local small food producer Rachel Hammond (Hammond Charcuterie) helps to use this locally sourced venison back into the food chain.
